Throat Punch Thursday (Leiby Kletzky)~ A Parent’s Worst Nightmare Edition

This weeks Throat Punch goes first and foremost to the monster who abducted and murdered Leiby Kletzky, Levi Aron. I made a vlog that I will share but I’d like to elaborate a bit. In my opinion, this animal, Levi Aron came like a thief in the night and stole the life of Leiby Kletzky’s parents. He stole the safety of a community and the innocence of the city’s children.He’s stolen the trust of a nation. Levi Aron has done unspeakable things in broad daylight. His actions have left us vulnerable in the strictest sense of the word. He has taken a parent’s most precious possession..their child.

Take the name in and remember it forever. This child, only 8 years old, left the home of his parents one summer morning, probably kissed his mother goodbye and went off to camp. His parents eagerly awaited the reunion. I know every single time my girls go out the door, I count the minutes until they are back in my line of sight. As parents, we know that every single time we send our child away from us ( somewhere in the recesses of our mind) our biggest fear is that they will not return. For the Kletzkys, their biggest fear has been realized. I can’t imagine the pain they feel. The void that will never be filled. Worse than just a loss, he was tortured by fright and dismembered ( and God knows what else) in those last hours of his life. The pain must be almost unbearable. The hatred they feel towards Mr. Aron must be all consuming.

left camp bound for home. He probably had news of the day to share with his parents. You know how children rush home to tell you about every detail of their day. Somewhere in the 7 blocks, he lost his way home and a predator found him. I don’t know how Mr. Aron tricked the boy to go with him or if he forced him to go with him. * JUst found ( after posting this originally) the transcript to Mr. Aron’s confession.It reads even more bizarre and callous than anything I could have imagined. But he took him to his tiny attic apartment and proceeded to rob the Kletzky’s of their precious son. I don’t know if the boy was molested. I did not read that anywhere. I don’t know the logistics of how he murdered the boy but I know that he did. And then he dismembered the body, wrapping part of his body in a plastic bag, inside of a suitcase and throwing little Leiby Kletzky’s remains in a dumpster…like garbage.LIKE GARBAGE! Then he kept some in his refrigerator freezer. Why? Perhaps for a souvenir? A momento of his heinous crime. Hell, I don’t know, maybe he’s a cannibalistic monster. All I know is that Levi Aron should be tethered to Casey Anthony, they should both be beaten with a bat and thrown in the ocean with a palate of cinder blocks attached. There should be no tolerance in this world for people who do these unspeakable acts to defenseless children. Children can not defend themselves from adults who are supposed to be trusted and at least twice their size.

His parents will never hold him in their arms again. He will never again burst through the front door and recount the details of the day. He was lost. He is lost forever. Levi Aron gets a metaphorical Throat Punch so hard that his head pops off. I hope he is haunted for the remainder of his short life by the guilt of what he has done. I hope that the Kletzky’s can eventually survive the pain of such a momentous parental loss. My thoughts and prayers are with them. The least we can do, as a species, is find justice for Leiby Kletzky.

Today, a travesty of epic proportions has taken place in our judicial system, Casey Anthony was not found guilty of killing her little girl, Caylee Anthony. Casey Anthony was the mother, and I use this term loosely, of the 2-year-old murder victim. I, like most mothers in the world, was emotionally outraged from the court room antics and the entire situation surrounding the case.

Do I know how it happened? No! Do I know for certain that she murdered Caylee? No! I understand that evidence was lacking and that the prosecution didn’t exactly do a stellar job. I understand there was a lot of speculation on people’s parts and circumstantial evidence but the bottom line is that Caylee Anthony is dead and her Mom had a part in it. Whether she killed her on purpose or Caylee drown on accident, either way, evidence points to the fact that Casey concealed it. Bottom line is that Casey’s job was to protect Caylee and Casey became the very thing that every other Mother fears the most…a predator.

The defense says Casey Anthony was molested by her father. While tragic and awful in the worst kind of way ( if it is, in fact, true), it in no way excuses a mother from killing her child. It’s being inferred that it was an accident. Perhaps it was, but what mother in their right mind would actively conceal an accident? Why were the authorities not called immediately? Her father was a detective, the man accused of molesting her. It was rumored that he had a hand in helping her to get rid of the body. Why would a person who worked in law enforcement even think to do this?

I’m confused as to why one would be afraid to report an accidental drowning? Isn’t that less heinous than the alternatives? Couldn’t reporting the supposed accident have eliminated this entire murder trial circus? If it were an accidental drowning, why wrap Caylee’s head in duct tape, leave her in her car to rot and go about clearing her head while dancing the night away at some club? Then moving forward with the brilliant plan to dump Caylee’s poor little lifeless body in the nearby woods. Or was it on purpose? The thought is too horrific to even fathom. At this point is that question even relevant? The woman killed her kid or at the very least concealed her body and hindered the investigation..for what? She is culpable by sheer knowledge of the incident.

During the trial, Casey’s mother changed her testimony to try and protect Casey and divert blame to herself. Believe me, I understand trying to save your daughter. That’s how we mothers work, obviously, that trait wasn’t passed on to Casey. I do believe that there are 3 people who know what happened to Caylee Anthony; Casey, her mother, and her father. At one point, George Anthony was so overcome by grief or guilt that he tried to kill himself. I am disgusted with our justice system. We are allowing these people to walk free in the world while Caylee no longer has that privilege. I believe that Casey Anthony should be incarcerated for killing her daughter for the remainder of her natural born life and at the very least, she should be sterilized. She doesn’t, in my opinion, deserve to be able to mother another child.

Casey Anthony is a deranged sociopath. The fact that the jury saw fit to let her off of the charges really makes me question the whole trial by jury situation. Apparently, the prosecution dropped the ball and, aside from the court room drama, fell short in the evidential area. The defense team, however, led by Jose Baez, planted a tiny seed of doubt in the jurors head and that was enough to let a guilty woman go free.

No matter what the case may be, Caylee Anthony is still dead and Casey Anthony will never hold her precious baby in her arms again. For this, I am saddened for them both.

Throat Punch Thursday ~ When Bloggers Attack Edition

Yesterday, I caught a tweet between bloggers referring to the Guardian’s article about Heather Armstrong’s ( @Dooce) trip to Bangladesh with Every Mother Counts. Of course, I read the article and to my dismay it was a condescending piece of crap. I have been following Heather’s recount of her trip to Bangladesh on her blog. I have been touched by the photos, moved by her words and called to action by what she saw.

But the Guardian article basically threw bloggers, and Heather Armstrong in particular, under the theoretical bus as being pompous westerners who have no business and no understanding of the situation. We are humans. We have empathy and compassion. No worries that we need to be warned “bloggers are firmly discouraged from poking paupers with sticks and asking people to wave their stumps for the cameras”. We may not be rich enough to save the world with our money, nor do we pretend to be but we have a reach. We have followers who listen to what we say and if we can bring a situation that needs attention to the light, what is wrong with that? We are trying to make a difference. We are proactive. Heather Armstrong is being the change she wants to see in the world. She got up off her ass and made the trip to Bangladesh to experience the situation firsthand so that she could give an honest , firsthand experience to the world. Obviously, this all disgusted me. It seemed to hurt and outrage Heather, as was evident on Twitter. I don’t blame her. What joy do journalists get from spewing condescending comments geared towards bloggers like venom? Does it make them feel better about themselves? Do they think it’s funny? So, to the Guardian..oh yeah, and especially you Rowan Davies, you get a Throat Punch for being a completely condescending, not checking your facts asshole.

As I was reading Liz at Mom 101 perfectly written and poised post about WHY bloggers share the stories, I was touched by the support and the community we bloggers have with one another, for one another. She touched on how we can make a change in the world and how the world changes us, from a personal perspective. I thought to myself “Thank God, a voice of reason. Retribution and understanding!”

But then the day got even more bizarre. I came in on the middle of a Twitter conversation between Heather Armstrong and Anna Viele ( ABDPBT). I have read both ladies and think they are both good bloggers, in their own right. I’m not going to comment on the conversation because I don’t know all the facts, all I know is that it got really ugly really fast. There was hurtful things said and not really by the two involved, it was more by the people watching it go down and throwing in their two cents. I thought two grown women should be able to handle their own disagreement. I’ve been the one attacked for having the unpopular opinion, so I know how that feels. No BUENO!

I guess my qualm is with the fact that we lost sight of the original issue. We, as bloggers, should have been supportive of one of our own going forth into the world and trying to make the world a better place rather than attacking one another and taking sides about semantics. And if there is a disagreement to be had, have it in the privacy of email or DM. Why do it so publicly? It only stands to humiliate and anger. I understand completely, Heather and Jon taking a stance on the situation, as it was directly pertaining to their lives. They have every right to defend themselves against insults. But what was all the name calling by people who I am not sure were aware of what the original issue was ( people who were not directly involved int he conversation)…the condescending and nonfactual article by the Guardian! So, again, I am giving ANOTHER Throat Punch to the Guardian for inciting a riot within our blogging community. Can’t we all just get along and spread bloggers peace to the world?

This week, unfortunately, I did not have to turn to CNN for a Throat Punch Thursday’s recipient, Bei Bei Shuai. No, all I had to do was turn on my local news. I generally hate when that happens. It can never be a good sign when someone that close to home does something so equally stupid and heinous. Without further ado, I give you Bei Bei Shuai. Have you heard of Bei Bei? I’m sure that many of you have already heard of her. He story takes place back in March, how she has escaped receiving a Throat Punch this far is beyond me.

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis woman who tried to commit suicide by eating rat poison near the end of her pregnancy was charged with murder in the death of her baby.

Bei Bei Shuai, 34, was arrested Monday and appeared in court Wednesday on charges of knowingly killing a viable fetus and attempted feticide, prosecutors said. The court entered an automatic plea of not guilty for Shuai, who is in custody. She was dumped by her piece of work boyfriend and went off the deep end. I don’t think she was trying to kill the baby as much as kil herself and the baby was collateral damage. Either way, pretty messed up situation.

Shuai consumed rat poison while 33 weeks pregnant, prosecutors said. On December 23, she was taken to a hospital where she admitted to taking rat poison in an attempt to kill herself after her boyfriend left her, according to a police statement.Apparently, her piece of shit boyfriend broke the news to her at 33 weeks that he couldn’t marry her because he was already married. I do understand her disappointment, dismay and even her full on freak out but ingesting rat poisoning is crazy. Sure it’s depressing to see that your entire future was based on a lie and it’s never going to come to fruition.Having a mental breakdown, even contemplating homicide all make more sense to me than going to Home Depot and buying a bag of rat poisoning and then proceeding to eat it.

Shuai’s baby girl, Angel Shuai, was born alive on December 31. On January 3, the baby died after being taken off life support. An autopsy determined that the cause of death was her mother’s ingestion of the poison, police said. You see why she deserves a Throat Punch?

Shuai, is the co-owner of a small Indianapolis restaurant, is from China and has no family members in the United States, according to her lawyer, Linda Pence. Pence called the prosecution “mean-spirited” and “horrible” and wants to have the charges dismissed. Oh, they are mean because they are calling her a killer? Well, actually, isn’t that what she is?

“This young woman is truly one of the kindest, most gentle people I’ve ever met,” said Pence. Pence said Shuai’s boyfriend had promised to marry her and help raise the child, and then dumped her, leaving her crying on her knees in a parking lot. Shuai was near a hardware store, so she bought the poison to kill herself. Agreed her boyfriend is a piece of work but she’s the one who made the choice to eat rat poison.Even if she didn’t intentionally kill the baby, she tried to kill herself and didn’t care what came of the baby. Either way, at the very least, she was careless and reckless.

Pence said Shuai had been happy about the baby, and had bought baby clothes. The baby died in her arms after she had rocked it “for hours and hours,” Pence said.

Pence said there is a common law immunity for pregnant women who attempt to harm themselves — or else prosecutors could charge any woman who drank or took drugs. Pence said the law against killing fetuses is meant to target third parties — as in the case of a robber who shoots a pregnant woman. I’m not sure that I want the government to go down this slippery slope but I do know that she needs to be held accountable.

So, this week the Throat Punch goes to the crazy lady having the mental breakdown over a man whose first thought was “hmm, I think I’ll go eat some rat poison”. You, my dear, need a Throat Punch to dislodge your head out of your ass. I am sorry your boyfriend turned out to be a douche but killing yourself and your baby earns you a punch, Bei Bei Shuai.

Well, we all knew it was coming. Look, Truthful Mommy is by no means a prude, I think that’s been proven time and time again BUT this whole Weinergate situation has had me longing for the Clinton/Lewinski scandal. It’s become painstakingly obvious that to be in politics you have to be a adulterer or some other sort of sexual deviant. Not that I give a rats ass what anyone does besides closed doors between two consenting adults, but for the love of God, can you politicians please not use Twitter as your own personal sextual playground?

Seriously,we’ve all been to #wineparty and got a little tipsy and possibly said something flirtatious, but we’re not politicians and we’re not usually tweeting indecent photos of our Weiner to ignite a scandal. Democratic Congressman Anthony Weiner has exercised some poor judgement of epic proportions. It’s not that you want to get your freak on congressman, it’s that you don’t have the good sense to not leave a social media trail. And now your newlywed wife is pregnant? Jeez is there a special secret club that only allows politicians who screw around on their wives while their wives are pregnant or have small children? Is there a special prize for doing such a scandalous thing?

Mr. Weiner announced his resignation in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, at a senior center where he announced his first campaign for City Council in 1991. But while that moment was filled with promise and excitement, his resignation occurred in a raucous and circuslike atmosphere, punctuated by shouting from a group of hecklers. This couldn’t have been a surprise to him. It’s not like he was a victim. He perpetrated lewd behavior and his constituents are disappointed and worse, he lied. They are hurt and angry that he lied on top of everything else.

Mr. Weiner tried to deliver his brief statement in a restrained manner, but struggled to be heard above the din of the hecklers, some of whom shouted vulgarities and one of whom called him a “pervert.” I feel sorry for his wife. How embarrassing it must be to stand by a man who lied and cheated, not only to you (while you were carrying his child) but to the people who put him in office.

I don’t necessarily think it’s any of my business what Mr.Weiner does when on Twitter with strange women, that’s between himself, his wife and God. On the other hand, cheating on a pregnant wife ( thought, deed, or action) is pretty damn despicable. But LYING, I have no tolerance for liars. For that, my friend, you get yourself a quick swift Chuck Norris kick to the Weiner! That’s what You get for …

Today’s Throat Punch Thursday~Abortion Billboard Edition goes to the 35 year old Greg Fultz,a New Mexico man who said he was upset that his ex-girlfriend had an abortion bought a highway billboard on which he accused her of killing their baby.

First of all, have you seen this man?What a freak. I imagine he is so upset because that may have been his one and only chance of ever being a father. Seriously, how many rufies were needed for him to get anyone with a vagina into bed?

I can only assume that she came to her senses and decided that it would be a disservice to bring the offspring of this monstrous asshole into the world.

Fultz’s ex-girlfriend calls the billboard harassment and invasion of privacy, and has taken him to court under the New Mexico Family Violence Protection Act. But Fultz says he’s exercising his First Amendment rights, said his attorney, Todd Holmes. Harassment? That’s an understatement,if I’ve ever heard one.Thank God he didn’t put her name on it, as well.

“Citizens have the right to express their speech through any media and he chose a billboard,” Holmes told Reuters on Tuesday. “We feel a billboard fits within the First Amendment even if it’s offensive to some.” Offensive to some? He offends me about as bad as those awful anti-abortion bumper stickers and right to life billboards with the photos of dismembered baby bodies. As if I want to explain these sorts of billboards to my children!!!!

A petition filed by Fultz’ ex-girlfriend said that Fultz had a pattern of stalking and harassment, including posting “intimate cyber shots of me from one of our cyber dates,” she wrote. The domestic abuse petition also requested that the billboard be removed and online harassment stopped. This doesn’t surprise me in the least. A creepy ass, ugly pedophile resorts to stalking a female. He seems the sort who would get his hooks into a woman, by any means possible ( including putting her in a hole and withholding food) and then never let go.Can you say,Fatal attraction?

In a hearing last week, a judge ordered the billboard to come down by mid-June. Holmes said he plans to file a motion to keep the billboard up, but he said his client is ready to face prison if necessary.

“That’s how passionately he feels about protecting his free speech,” Holmes said.No,I’m pretty sure he’s just a really vindictive asshat.

According to Holmes, when Fultz and his girlfriend, who was then 18, found out they were going to have a baby, she wanted to get married. Fultz refused, Holmes said, and during a church camping trip there was a “discussion about an ultimatum. Either you marry me or I’m not going to have this baby type of thing.” So, he’s 35? She’s 18. By some mishap, he actually met a ~~woman~~ child who was willing to have sex with him, she got pregnant and HE REFUSED TO MARRY HER??? I’m baffled.Perplexed. Befuddled,even.

The girlfriend later flew to Wisconsin for work and when she returned she was no longer pregnant, Holmes said. She did not explain what happened, but Fultz suspected she had an abortion, Holmes said. He only suspected? He has no actual proof and he is slandering her on a billboard and now nationally , thanks to the media.

“I know it’s her body,” Holmes said. “But his statement is more along the lines of ‘Hey, you know what? Dads have a decision in the process too.” Sure, especially Dads who are involved in the relationship. Father’s who are married to the mothers. What did he think, he was like some prized stud siring a baby with no strings attached?

New Mexico’s Right to Life Committee initially endorsed the billboard, but has withdrawn its support because it received a number of emails from people who said Fultz’ ex-girlfriend had a miscarriage, not an abortion, said executive director Dauneen Dolce. Maybe she had a miscarriage? He has not even checked his facts. Can you imagine if she did have a miscarriage and he is harassing her like this? What a piece of work!

To you Mr. Fultz and your offensive billboard I bestow the super Chuck Norris infused round house kick to the neck. I hope it knocks the glasses and mullet right off of you. You , sir, are of the lowest denomination of mankind…even lower than Weiner!

This weeks Throat Punch has been a long time coming, this week’s recipient is none other than the award winning WORST MOTHER of the CENTURY Casey Anthony. Seriously, what f*cking planet is this broad from? She is such a monumental liar that she doesn’t even recognize the truth,little lone ever speak it. This woman has betrayed the one person in the world who she is supposed to care for and love unconditionally.It is unfathomable to me how anyone can commit such a heinous crime as murdering a child, but a Mother..a mother is who a child is supposed to be able to always count on to protect them. There has to be a special place in hell for the Casey Anthonys of the world.

What kind of Mother waits 31 days to report her child missing? Oh yeah,that would be the kind who KNEW that Caylee wasn’t actually missing at all. That would be the same mother who spent those 31 days having a last hurrah before she reported Caylee , her 2 year old daughter, as a missing person to the police. The same woman who was seen around town dancing, drinking and whoring it up while her daughter was in a shallow grave…that she ,most likely, put her into.

To make matters worse, this POS Mom lied. LIED ABOUT EVERYTHING! From the place she worked, to the fictitious Nanny, the imaginary ex boyfriend down to the story that her daughter was missing. Hey, Casey, your kid’s not missing if you dumped her poor little baby body , wrapped neatly in duct tape in a shallow grave in the nearby woods. Hell, she wasn’t even misplaced. She was hidden..by you.

This woman disgusts me. She is a sociopath and a pathological liar. I am sickened by dead beat moms and a mother,who kills her children and can still muster the fortitude to live with herself little lone go out and party for a month, are beyond despicable. Casey, if you didn’t want the responsibility of a a child then maybe you should have practiced safe sex.But going out partying and having a good time, participating in hot body contests and drinking your weight in alcohol while your baby was in the trunk of your car or the woods decomposing is unconscionable. It is maniacal. I think that she needs mental help.

How heartbreaking that you can go from this to just pretending that she no longer exists

But the ongoing lies suggest that she is fully capable of standing trial and being punished for her crimes. Believe me, this bitch deserves way more than a Throat Punch. Maybe a Throat Punch with a side of the electric chair. Her lies are too many to list, so I will direct you to the article that examines them extensively. I hope that ,in prison, she is shown the same mercy and kindness that she shown to her toddler. I think the world would be a much better place with her locked away for the rest of her natural born life.

Throat Punch Thursday~ Free to be Gender-Free Edition

Free to be…You and Me! Free to be Gender Free! I’m sure by now, everybody in the world has heard the story of 4 month old baby Storm. This is the child born in Toronto to Kathy Witterick and her husband, David Stocker. The couple has kept their baby Storm’s gender a secret. The only people who know are one family friend and Storm’s older brothers, Jazz, 5, Kio, 2 and the two midwives who delivered Storm on New Year’s Day.

An article last week in the Toronto Star profiled the family and their quest to raise their baby unfettered by gender imposed expectations. The couple began this plight by sending out an email after Storm’s birth:

“We’ve decided not to share Storm’s sex for now — a tribute to freedom and choice in place of limitation, a stand up to what the world could become in Storm’s lifetime (a more progressive place? …).”

That is the gist of the scenario. A couple of hippies had 3 children and they don’t want them to be judged or reacted to in the world solely on what’s between their legs. I understand that. I really do but I think they are playing God with their children. By NOT assigning their children a sex, they are making such a spectacle that they are assigning them the title of freak. Let’s be clear, I don’t give a shit if a little boy wears a dress or a little girl wants to play in the dirt and eat worms. That is no big deal. In my opinion, both sexes could stand to experiment a little more with their feminine or masculine sides.

I don’t think because your parents tell you that you are a boy or a girl is going to impact the way you see yourself in the world unless of course your parents are assholes and perpetuate the fact that you are defined and restricted by your gender. Perhaps holding the child’s sex from the public will make others not know how to react tot he child and treat him/her like a complete alien but what about the kid who does know what genitalia is between its legs. They know. I think gender gives us a jumping off point, to know who we are. It’s not the only defining characteristic of who we are. I think if the parents want to perpetuate gender-free, they should grow their hair out dress androgynously and conceal their own gender. They are experimenting with their own child. As a society, we stand up for animal rights and against animal cruelty. Testing on children, below the age of consent is worse. It’s barbaric.

I have two girls who, I am not afraid to admit, I had several ultrasounds to check and double check their sex before they were born because…yes, I did want to buy the girly colors and foofoo bedding. They were newborn, I just wanted a beautiful world for them to come home to. There was no malicious intent behind it. I wasn’t trying to force my girls to be princess ballerinas…though they have since somewhat become that very thing.

I have always told them both…you can do and be whatever you want to be in the world. Play sports, dance, be president, whatever you want…as long as you put in the hard work and dedication, the world is yours. You can be anything you want to be.

My 4 year old tells me that she wants to play hockey, soccer and football. My 6 year old wants to be her sister’s cheerleader. One loves pink and purple and the other loves green and blue. They were born girls .I am not embarrassed by that and neither should they be. They are not hindered by that. These parents are saying what is between your legs should not matter and it should not but what’s not between your legs shouldn’t matter either. I think their intentions are good but they are taking a big risk with their children’s lives and place in society. Let them be free to grow up and be whatever they want to be but don’t confuse them as to who they are now.

So, my throat punch goes to the parents of Storm, Kio and Jazz. You asshats are completely jacking up your children’s lives by giving them no place in the world. You have taken away our most primal instinct identifier…male or female. It’s like a big game to you but you are playing with your child. You are supposed to protect them and nurture them not use them as a big Eff you to the world. You two get a ginormous, I hope the DCFS comes and straightens you out, Chuck Norris Monkey Toe roundhouse kick to the back of the neck.

Arnold, Please Don’t Eff the Help!

So, I keep seeing the headlines that Arnold Schwarzenegger has fathered a lovechild with one of the long time members of the family staff. There are so many issues with this but let’s just say he’s a politician and an actor so really, shouldn’t the real shock be that he has supposedly been monogamous for 25 years?

As a wife and a mother, I can imagine how betrayed Maria Shriver must feel. She has supported this moron throughout his entire political career and not only has he screwed around, the asshole had a “love child” and still had the woman working for him. They say she was staff, what does that mean? Was she his cook? Maid? Official fluffer? The seriously earth shattering part, for Maria, I would imagine is that this lady has been in her house, in her life, under her nose the entire time…looking her straight in the face, lying to her..just like Arnold.

I don’t know their situation or their marriage, no one ever really knows what goes on between a couple behind closed doors. I do have a feeling that this all played out in the chronology it did for a reason. The Governorship is a thing of the past, Maria leaving his side ,while it may be emotionally incapacitating ( or not) it can no longer hurt him politically. Is he tired of the marriage? Was his conscience too much to live with the indiscretion any longer? Was he so in love with the staff member that he just needed to move forward with her? Was it guilt and obligation to the ‘lovechild’ I mean, who knows. Even the connotation of a lovechild is offensive, when you think of it in context. He was a married man, this was not just a roll in the hay. Lovechild infers that he wanted to be there, there was a relationship even an intent to procreate. How insulting and disrespectful is that to his wife, the legitimate mother of his children? I always find it selfish when a partner reveals their indiscretions because, honestly, if you are not going to keep it in your pants…the only benefit of telling your partner is to alleviate the guilt that the adulterer feels. It NEVER heals the one that’s been cheated on. So, to be clear cheating is a selfish thing and to reveal your indiscretions is just a deeper layer of betrayal and selfishness. Arnold, if you can’t be faithful, at least keep it to yourself and show a little discretion, man.

I just think it is a pretty low class move to reveal this all to the public in such a timed fashion. It makes it seem like he used her all along for her political clout, which may or may not be the case. After all, she is from a long bloodline of political powerhouses.Or he was just waiting for his term to end so that he could leave the marriage. Either way, I really hope that Maria moves forward and comes out the other end of this awful situation, stronger than ever, with at least half of his shit and makes a bold political move herself.

And Arnold, Please don’t Eff the help!

As many of you know by now, this month I am celebrating my second blogiversary by having some of my bloggy friends share their Truths about Motherhood.I started this blog ,in part, because I wanted to share the truth but I also really wanted a place where other moms could come and see that they are not alone, that none of us are perfect.Perfect parenting is a myth! After reading the Truths of my fellow moms, their bravery,willingness to share and the vulnerability they have shown I am convinced more than ever that judgy moms deserve a really big throat punch.

I know we all have our preconceived notions as to what motherhood is supposed to look,feel and be like from the outside. The damn parenting books do absolutely nothing to prepare us for the real thing. It’s easy to sit way up on a judgmental petal-stool when you have been spoon fed bullshit. But once we actually experience it, are in the wake of it, then we should change our way of thinking.

It’s become the norm to mercilessly judge our fellow Mommies, while behind closed doors we secretly feel their pain…in triplicate. Wouldn’t it make more sense if we could all just be honest with one another in the first place and share our war stories; good and bad. If we could be honest, we could be supportive,we could lend an ear,we could build one another up instead of tear each other down. Life would be so much better for all of us.

So to all you Mommies, who haven’t figured it out yet..sisterhood is so much better than isolation. I don’t know about you but I’d much rather be having a party with my peers than be stranded on an island by myself. So this weeks throat punch, well more like a slap on the wrist goes to judgy Mommies. You are only getting a Chuck Norris slap because I think you know not what you do. Come read some of these truths of my guests or read my daily ones…this is the way it;s supposed to be. We support one another through motherhood. We share our ups and downs. We help each other make it through the rough patches and we are one another’s greatest cheerleaders in our parenting successes. Don’t fall victim to another throat punch…come join the party.It’s a lot more fun with a little help with your friends than being in the ocean of parenting without a life preserver.
