I learned a very important Nutrisystem lesson this week; if you don’t stick to the program…it doesn’t work. This past week was spring break for my girls and in all the craziness of trying to pack  and get to my destinations, I forgot my food. I watched what I was eating at the beginning of the week.I was very strict on what I was putting into my mouth. But then at the end of the week, we were in a hotel and my only options were eating out.We were in the car, in the hotel and traveling between spots. It was a lot of eating on the fly and some not so great choices. The result? I ended up gaining 1.5 pounds for the week. I won’t make excuses, I know what I did wrong. So the lesson is, if you don’t follow the plan..you will NOT lose any weight. And if you are running around spring break eating a burrito as big as your head…you WILL gain a pound and a half, maybe more, especially if you drink a Mexican beer with it.Lucky for me, I had my kids with me and I didn’t or the collateral damage could be much worse.

If you are interested in more information about this great plan please feel free to contact Nutrisytem or call 888-853-4689. What do you have to lose? Aside from a few pounds, that is?

Well, I was very excited last week with Nutrisystem and my second consecutive 2 pound weight loss. I was all cocky on my high horse, doing my happy girl dance. Well, this week, the week that must not be discussed because the water retention runs so high that it’s physically impossible to wrangle my wedding ring off my finger before bedtime,I have gained a pound. I can say that I am eating what I am supposed to, drinking my water and exercising. I am assuming either I have hit a plateau or I am experiencing some insulting water retention. Why insulting you ask?Because it is certainly hurting my feelings. This brings my grand total to 21 pounds in 21 weeks.WooHOO, go me!

nutrisystem diet, weight loss, science, mealsNutrisystem Update~Week 20 I am happy to report that I am down 2 more pounds. Excuse me while I do the happy dance…again this week! I am convinced that the whole writing every single food that passes my lips is the key for me. The Nutrisystem food is keeping me feeling full and losing weight. Another key component are the snacks. I’ve never been a big snacker. It just seems to be what always derails me on a diet is that I wait for the meal and then I over indulge..usually on carbs.

Thank God the Nutrisystem food allows me carbs. There are so many awesome pastas, pizzas, and snacks i.e brownies, ice cream and chocolate that it really helps with the variety. The spice of life you know:) I have been on the program for 5 months so I am getting a little bored with the same foods.Naturally, I have a few favorite Nutrisystem meals that I get all the time. This probably is the real culprit. But lucky for me the ever evolving Nutrisystem foods and the company as a whole are coming out with new foods all the time. Also, there are a lot of Nutrisystem nutritionist approved recipes that I have not checked out yet and I they look mighty tasty, so I see myself checking them out very soon.

Good Morning! Why yes, yes it is! Why, you ask? Because I got on the scale and lost another 1.5 pounds bringing my grand total of weight lost on Nutrisystem to 20 pounds!WooWoot! I hate to say finally but that’s how I feel. That being said. I also feel really motivated.I feel like someone has hit the restart button on my weight loss button!

Since last week, I’ve been a lot more aware of what I am putting into my mouth. Trying to follow the guidelines and , for my own benefit, I have started to write down the calories of everything that is going into my mouth. Which is very helpful to me since I am a very visual person. Seeing everything written down, in front of me, helps me to stay the course on this journey.

Birds are singing and I can smell the smell of grass wafting through the air, spring is here! I’m looking forward to the fresh air work out that I will get walking around my neighborhood with the girls.  Here’s hoping the rain stays away. But really, now I’m gunning for 30 pounds. A little rain will NOT deter me. It shouldn’t deter you either. Get out there and do a little singing in the rain. Life is Good!

Also, Don’t forget, Nutrisystem is running it’s lowest prices since 2003 but it won;t last forever. If you have been interested in giving it a try, NOW is the time!

Visit Nutrisystem today or call 888-853-4689. There is no better time than the present to get started on your journey. Bathing suit season is right around the corner! Believe me, I bought one already. It’s adorable and I plan on getting a LOT of use out of it this summer!

This week’s Nutrisystem official weight loss update is that I lost the other of those pesky pounds that I had put back on a couple weeks ago. This brings my grand total to 18.5 pounds lost over the past 18 weeks. A healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week so I’m losing at a healthy, steady pace. I am happy with my progress because ,obviously, any weight lost is good. The weather has been warming up quite a bit, other than that back lash of snow we had last Thursday. What was that about? Anyways, I am planing to get outside and walk as much as I can. I feel like I really need to kick start my metabolism.I realize that Rome wasn’t built in a day and there’s no way that I am going to drop the weight that I want to lose over night. It’s unhealthy and unrealistic. I know that. I just wish  that I was seeing more of a result in myself. I feel like I’ve hit a plateau. Which I know happens once I’ve been losing for  awhile. Any suggestions of what I can do to kick start my metabolism again? I welcome any and all suggestions.

This week’s Nutrisystem official weight loss update is that I lost one of those pesky pounds that I had put back on last week. This brings my grand total to 17.5 pounds lost over the past 17 weeks. A healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week so I am right on target. I am very happy with my progress. Swim suit season is quickly approaching and it was nice to be able to go to the store and try on something NOT in the plus section. The weather is getting much nicer and I can’t wait to get outside and walk around the neighborhood with my girls. Both girls can ride their bikes now so maybe we could take a bike stroll in a few more weeks. There’s is just something about being outside that makes being active feel effortless.

This week was by far one of the worst weeks that I’ve had on my Nutrisystem journey, as well as one of the worst weeks that I’ve had in the month of February. I gained 2 pounds. How did this happen, you ask? To my chagrin, I traveled all last weekend and that created a little hiccup in my diet. I did have meals on hand but we were on the road and I ended up eating out a couple times. Even worse, when I returned home, my back went out. Which meant two things, I was not able to work out. To be honest, I could barely sit upright without wincing. I could NOT walk upright. My back felt like a rubber band pulled to its absolute extreme.I was just waiting for it to pop and snap. It’s done it before and I’ve ended up incapacitated in the praying to Mecca position or flat on my back on the floor. Either scenario not optimal, especially with the Big Guy out of town. I couldn’t even drive the car to get my Bella to school. This was serious business. My sister had to catch a train and come to my rescue, which meant she resumed all my duties while I took my meds to relax my back and keep the insane pain that accompanies such injuries away . It was a real big hot mess around here. While I was in La-la med land, lying flat on my back atop of a heating pad or ice ( depending on the moment you checked in on me) I did not eat appropriately. I didn’t get all my foods in and I wasn’t drinking enough water. The entire week was a wash. It was of no fault of the program, it was me not working the program. But, the back is doing much better and I am pain free, med free, standing upright and drinking my water so I am hopping back on that horse and making it work for me! This weight is coming off, kicking and screaming maybe but it is coming off.

I am so proud of what I have accomplished so far with Nutrisystem. It is a great feeling to see the scale going down. It’s even more encouraging when the clothes start to bag and droop. This small hiccup does not worry me. Nutrisystem is a fabulous program and I know it works. The key is to keeping within the guidelines of the program. So the lesson here is..if you don’t work out, don’t eat the Nutrisystem foods and veggies, fruits, and dairy that you are supposed to, don’t drink the recommended daily amount of water and simply have the Nutrisystem food sitting in the pantry…don’t expect it to work. But if you are serious and want to lose the weight, get healthy in your own skin and be the best you that you can be…Nutrisystem might be for you! Visit Nutrisystem today or call 888-853-4689. Don’t forget right now, Nutrisytem is at the lowest price it has been since 2003! There is no better time than the present to get started on your journey. This week when I weighed myself, I was ecstatic to find that I had lose 1.5 pounds. Which brings my total back up to 17.5 pounds lost on Nutrisystem. I was pretty upset by that pound gain last week but I can say now that I am very happy to see it was only a short visit it was paying to me. I have also incorporated the Biggest Loser workout for the xbox into my workout routine. I love my Zumba but I feel I need something a little more intense to get the calorie burn that I want.

I am still very much enjoying the Nutrisystem meals. Lately, I have really been loving the spaghetti with meat sauce for dinner. It is pantry stable and only takes a minute to a minute and a half to cook in the microwave. I top it with a whisper of Parmesan cheese add to it a nice big salad and a cup of ice cold skim milk.YUMMY!

Another meal that I have really been enjoying is the Select frozen gourmet glazed chicken tenders with green beans with almonds. It is awesome. The green beans are crisp and the almonds add the perfect amount of crunch to compliment the tenderness of the chicken. It’s making my mouth water just to talk about it:)

Also, there’s more exciting news  Nutrisystem has introduced a new BMI app for the iPhone to help Americans stay on track to reach our health and weight loss goals! I am all about my iPhone and any app that can help keep me on the right path is fabulous in my book. The free downloadable BMI App is the latest addition to the Nutrisystem Suite of Weight management Mobile apps.

The new app, which is downloadable for free at (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bmi-body-mass-index/id410449057?mt=8#), will provide Nutrisystem members and non-members with an engaging way to quickly and easily assess their BMI, as well as track and monitor changes in BMI over time.

BMI is an effective way to estimate healthy body weight and one of the most widely used diagnostic tools to help identify health and weight problems. The Nutrisystem BMI app for the iPhone features the ability to:

· Calculate BMI in seconds and tell the user if he/she is underweight, healthy or overweight

· Generate a basic diet plan to help improve and maintain an ideal BMI

· Save and track BMI data

· Provide reminders for regular BMI checks

“When it comes to healthy living, knowing and monitoring your BMI is a very important step in the right direction.   At Nutrisystem, we feel that it is our mission to help all Americans lead a healthier lifestyle,” said Chris Terrill, Chief Marketing Officer of Nutrisystem.  “With the introduction of this new, free BMI app for the iPhone, we’re making it simple for anyone – members and non-members alike – to measure their BMI and make positive changes to improve their health.”

Added Terrill, “This app is the latest addition to Nutrisystem’s suite of health and weight loss mobile apps. It furthers our commitment to serving as a leader in the mobile space for weight loss management solutions.”

The introduction of the new Nutrisystem BMI app for the iPhone follows Nutrisystem’s announcement that it has conducted an extensive revamp of its food program.  Last month, Nutrisystem announced that it is incorporating its highest scoring, best tasting fresh frozen gourmet foods into all of its weight loss plans at the lowest price in the Company’s history. The Nutrisystem 28-day program will now include one-third frozen foods and two-thirds of pantry foods and comes with a gourmet money back guarantee and free shipping.

The Nutrisystem® Select® Plan, available only in the Continental U.S., can be purchased by calling the Nutrisystem hotline 1-800-891-3215 or logging onto www.nutrisystem.com.

And don’t forget, right now Nutrisystem is the lowest price it has been since 2003~ If you ever wanted to try Nutrisystem…NOW is the time! What are you waiting for? Start your New You Revolution today!

This week when I stepped on the scale, I have to admit..I was not expecting good things. As many of you know, I have been packing and cleaning my house to put it on the market so we can move to be closer with the Big Guy. Over the past weekend, my Mom came into town to help us pack. Things were really hectic and food ended up being an after thought. One night I was so tired and hungry that I ate what was sat in front of me, which happened to be a Big Mac and fries. And exercise, well it was non existent this past weekend. I was so tired from cleaning that the thought of trying to Zumba or any other extracurricular exercise, quite frankly, made me want to jump out of the skin that I am so desperately trying to feel comfortable in. So, no surprise that this week..I gained a pound. Bringing my grand total to, once again, 16 lbs. It was a momentary indulgence in a weekend of non existent routine. It was a slip and fall…right off my Nutrisystem wagon. But you know me, I’m pulling myself right back up and dusting myself off and getting back on that horse.

I also wanted to share some exciting New Nutrisystem News with you all to make it easier for friends and family to join the Nutrisystem family too. Right now Nutrisystem is featuring a Rollback Sales Event – now people can join Nutrisystem in 2011 at 2003’s prices!!! How awesome is that??
