I’m starting something long overdue. This is my idea of how one small move can ripple out and change the world, and I’m asking you to join me. Today we demand our bodily autonomy. #ChastityByChoice
On October 19, 2026 – two years to the day from Jane Doe‘s assault at Cornell – women stop playing by the rules they never agreed to. I’m calling it Chastity by Choice because ‘Our bodies- our choice!’ and I think the world needs a reminder.
What Is #ChastityByChoice?
It’s a grassroots movement. No organization. No hierarchy. No permission needed.
Women everywhere will choose to wear the chastity belt symbol – not as shame, not as some purity culture relic. As power. As resistance. As a daily, visible, undeniable refusal.
We’re wearing our underwear on the outside of our pants. We’re wearing black armbands and hats with chastity belt logos. We’re going to work. We’re going to the grocery store. We’re going to pick up our kids. We’re going out to dinner. We’re existing in the world, visibly, unapologetically, refusing to pretend that business as usual is acceptable anymore.
We don’t need permission to wear what we want. We don’t need a permit. We don’t need to ask anyone.
We just show up.
The Message
NO CONSENT. NO SEX.
That’s it. That’s the message.
My body is mine. You don’t get access without my explicit, enthusiastic, ongoing consent. And I’m not giving it to a system that protects rapists. I’m not giving it to a culture that blames victims. I’m not giving it to a world that tells women to modify their entire existence just to avoid being violated.
So I’m taking it back.
This Is for Everyone
This is for Jane Doe. For every woman who was raped and never reported it because she knew the system would destroy her instead of the rapist. For every girl who’s been groped, harassed, assaulted. For our mothers and grandmothers who carried this in silence their entire lives because they had no choice. For ourselves – the women who know what it feels like to have our bodies taken without permission.
For Our Mothers and Grandmothers
My mother took it. Her mother took it. Their mothers before them took it.
They lived in fear. They calculated their safety before every move. They stayed silent because speaking up felt more dangerous than staying quiet. They didn’t have a choice.
And we inherited all of it.
But I’m breaking the chain. We’re breaking the chain.
For Our Daughters and Granddaughters
I look at my daughters and I see the fear in their eyes when they go to parties. I see them checking their surroundings. I see them modifying their behavior to try to prevent being raped.
And I’m furious.
Because they shouldn’t have to live like this. No woman should have to live like this.
We’re supposed to protect our children. We’re supposed to tell them the world is safe. But we can’t lie to them like that.
So on October 19 and every day after, we’re going to show them something different. We’re going to show them that their mothers and grandmothers are rising up. That we’re done accepting this. That we’re taking back our power.
The chastity belt isn’t about keeping them pure. It’s about THIS: your body is yours. You don’t get access without explicit, enthusiastic, ongoing consent. And if you try to take it anyway, we’re coming for you.
We’re showing our daughters that women fight for women. That we stand together. That when one of us is violated, all of us are violated. And all of us are done.
For Yourself
But here’s the most important part. Do this for yourself.
Because you deserve to live your life without expecting to be raped at every turn. You deserve to walk home without fear. You deserve to wear what you want without wondering if you’re inviting violence. You deserve to go to parties without calculating escape routes. You deserve to exist in your body without terror.
You deserve safety. Not because you’re someone’s daughter or mother or sister. But because you’re a human being.
If you’ve been violated, you deserve justice. Not victim-blaming. Not questions about what you did wrong. Justice.
You deserve a world where your trauma is believed. Where the system protects you instead of the rapist. Where reporting an assault doesn’t mean putting yourself on trial.
You deserve that. And if the system won’t give it to you, we’re building it ourselves. We’re wearing our chastity. We’re refusing. We’re saying no to a world that accepts this.
How to Join
There’s no sign-up sheet. There’s no organization to contact. There’s no process.
On October 19, you wear your chastity.
That’s it.
You can buy a chastity belt symbol (logo available on my site). You can wear your underwear on the outside of your pants. You can wear a black armband. You can wear a hat with the symbol. You can do all of it. You can do none of it – just understanding and sharing the message counts.
Go to work. Go to dinner. Go to the grocery store. Go anywhere you normally go. Just do it visibly wearing your chastity.
Take pictures. Share them. Use the hashtags. Tell women in your life what this means.
That’s how this grows. Woman to woman. No top-down organization. No permission needed. Just women showing up for women.
What Does It Mean to Wear Your Chastity?
When you wear your chastity on October 19 and beyond, you’re not just making a statement. You’re joining millions of women who are done.
You’re standing with Jane Doe. You’re standing with every woman who’s been harassed, assaulted, or raped. You’re standing with your mother. Your grandmother. Your daughters. Your sisters. Your friends.
You’re telling every girl watching that we don’t accept this anymore. You’re showing them that their mothers fight back. You’re honoring the women who came before us and didn’t have a choice.
You’re saying: my body. My choice. No consent. No sex.
You’re not asking permission. You don’t need anyone’s approval. You’re just showing up and refusing to be silent.
That’s the power of this. It’s not organized from the top down. It’s grassroots. It’s women. It’s us.
What This Is NOT
This is not a march where you need to show up at a specific time and place. You don’t need to ask anyone’s permission. You don’t need to coordinate. You just wear your chastity and live your life.
This is not a political campaign. It’s not about left or right. It’s about women and the men who violate us and the system that protects them.
This is not a temporary thing. October 19 is the launch date, but this continues as long as we keep wearing it. As long as we keep refusing.
This is not anti-sex. This is not purity culture. This is not about shaming women who like sex. This is about bodily autonomy. This is about a woman’s right to say yes or no. This is about a man’s requirement to honor that answer.
The Power Is in the Visibility
You can’t ignore a woman in a chastity belt walking into a corporate office. You can’t ignore her at the grocery store. You can’t ignore her at her kid’s school. You can’t ignore her at dinner.
That’s the point.
For decades, we’ve been invisible. Our assaults are invisible. Our trauma is invisible. Our refusal is invisible because we’re afraid to say it out loud.
But when millions of women are visibly wearing chastity belts, you can’t pretend this isn’t happening. You can’t pretend we’re not angry. You can’t pretend the system is working.
You can’t ignore us.
Women Fighting for Women
This is grassroots. This is women. This is us.
Not some organization that gets co-opted. Not some politician who turns it into a sound bite. Not some corporation that tries to profit from our pain.
This is woman-to-woman. Sister-to-sister. Mother-to-daughter.
We don’t need permission. We don’t need an organization. We don’t need a leader.
We just need to show up.

The Chastity Belt Logo
The logo features a swallow – symbol of freedom, rebirth, escape – holding the key to a chastity belt. Because we have the key to our own bodies. We are flying away. The belt is powerless without our consent.
The logo is available free on my website. Download it. Print it. Share it. Make armbands. Make buttons. Make stickers. Make t-shirts. Make whatever you want.
This is grassroots. Make it yours.
What Comes After October 19?
You keep wearing it.
One day becomes a week becomes a month becomes the new normal. Women everywhere, visibly refusing. Visibly demanding. Visibly saying no.
The system doesn’t change overnight. But a movement that can’t be ignored? That might start to.
We keep wearing it until the system hears us. Until campuses stop sending assault alerts twice a month. Until rapists actually face consequences. Until women can live their lives without calculating escape routes.
We keep wearing it until “your body, my choice” becomes completely unacceptable.
We keep wearing it until this changes.
If You’re Ready
On October 19, wear your chastity.
Go to work. Pick up your kids. Go to dinner. Live your life.
Just do it visibly. Do it unapologetically. Do it for yourself.
Take pictures. Share them. Use the hashtags. Tell other women.
That’s all you need to do.

**P.S. – To my daughters and every young woman at every college campus: I see you. I know you’re scared. I know some of you have already been violated. I know most of you won’t report it. I know because I didn’t either.
But I want you to know that it’s not your fault. Not one bit. Not your clothes, not your choices, not where you were or what you were doing. None of it.
Starting October 19, wear your chastity. Not because you owe anyone anything. Because you’re part of something bigger than yourself. You’re part of generations of women saying no. Your grandmother said it silently. Your mother is saying it now. And you’re going to say it out loud.
We are taking our power back.
And we’re doing it for you.
