Margaret Thatcher was the first woman ever to serve as prime minister of Great Britain and the longest-serving British prime minister of the 20th century. This morning at age 87, Margaret Thatcher died peacefully at her home as the result of a stroke.
Margaret Thatcher was the Prime Minister of Britain when I was a child. Before the Hilary Clinton’s and Sandra Day O’Conners and Condoleezza Rice’s of the world, there was Margaret Thatcher. She was who I looked up to. She is still the woman by which all women should measure their success. (more…)
