Preheat oven to 350°F
Mash the bananas until smooth with a fork.
Whisk in the sugar, egg, vanilla, and vegetable oil.
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
Fold the dry mixture into the wet and mix just until batter forms. Don't overwork or it will become mushy.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking loaf. Bake for 45-55 minutes.
Bake at 350°F for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let cool. Serve warm.
