Throat Punch Thursday~ Jane Roe Says Obama Murders Babies; Pot Calling Kettle Black Edition

by Deborah Cruz

Jane Roe

Jane Roe then

Jane Roe, of  Roe vs. Wade, whose real name is Norma McCorvey  has made an anti-Obama ad. Jane Roe, the very same woman who is responsible for our current abortion laws. The same Jane Roe who fought tooth and nail to get abortion legalized when she needed it has now had a change of heart.

Look, I am all for change. People grow, they get older and sometimes with age comes wisdom. Sometimes the closer you get to death, the more you want to get right with God. I understand all of that. What makes me sick about Jane Roe, Norma McCorvey, is that she now has made a commercial, an anti-Obama ad, using photos of dead babies to support her Republican politicians. I linked the ad if you want to see it but I will not put it on my site, it is too gruesome.

Let me be honest, I think everyone has the right to believe whatever the hell they want to believe. You believe abortion is killing a baby and you don’t want to do it, DON’T DO IT! I am not asking you to. No one is forcing you to kill babies.

You believe that the choice of a woman or health of a mother trumps the existence of a fetus and you decide of your own accord that you need an abortion. That is your choice. Go with God. I know it’s not an easy decision and you know that too.

But what chaps my ass, more than all the asinine comments coming out of the sides of the Republican party’s face concerning abortion  ( and by the way, is abortion the ONLY platform the republicans are running on this year because OMG people? Who says that much stupid shit in one election year? It has to be on purpose. No one is that stupid. No one!) is the way the Pro-life people go about it with their photos of dead baby carcases plastered all over the place.

This is not something new for me. I grew up in a faith that condemns abortion. I spent the better part of the last 10 years living in the same city as one of the most Pro-Life catholic campuses in the country. Believe me, I have seen these posters, semi-trucks, videos, and commercials with decimated dead fetal carcases before but now we are running them during an election year. IS this shit on television? Children can see this. Just like I almost wrecked my SUV driving through South Bend with my small children about 3 years ago, when all the anti-Obama Pro-lifers were driving around my town in SEMI TRUCKS with photos of fetal remains plastered to the sides. That should be illegal. What about my children? Do the Pro-lifers give a fuck about the living children who will be scarred for life from seeing these photos or are the only interested in the theoretical children?

I think Jane Roe, Norma McCorvey, is a dick. She fought hard when she was trying to secure her own abortion. Now, she is recanting saying it was all fabricated and that she was forced to lie by feminist lawyers. Apparently, the devil made her do it. She wasn’t really raped and she lied. So, why should I believe anything she says now?

I know I have been repeating this for months now, but just in case you haven’t gotten the point, here it is, the Republicans are going to take women’s rights backwards. Pretty soon, they will be issuing us government approved Kotex, have final approval over the days we can have sex and state mandated toss our asses into a red tent in the yard when we have our periods. Somehow the Republicans have promised Jane Roe, Norma McCorvey, eternal salvation if she can assist in reversing Roe versus Wade and she is buying in, hook, line and sinker. Only that bitch is going to sink us all.

Jane Roe Now

I’m not saying you all need to be Pro-Choice, I am saying that no one has the right to dictate what we do with our bodies but us and THAT is the choice I am fighting for.

Jane Roe, what are you fighting for?

Infuriating. I’m a religious person. BUT, I believe religion and politics don’t mix. In fact, the First Amendment guarantees it. I’m appalled how many people, much less women, support these insidious men who make such insensitive statements about rape, pregnancies and OUR bodies. I refuse to watch the ad. November 7th cannot come soon enough! Go Obama!!!

I am actually very against abortion. I think it’s ironic that people say women should have the right to make their own health decisions, when really… they are making a decision for TWO people… one of whom can’t speak.

HOWEVER – I don’t think that legislation is the answer. People who want/need abortions WILL find a way. And you’re right. Plastering pictures of dead fetuses all over the place is NOT the thing to convince people.

I agree with much of your stance. I don’t know if legislation is the anwser either. I favor a smaller, less intrusive Federal government.

However, I also find it absurd that $542 million of our tax dollars are provided to Planned Parenthood while they kill more than 333,000 unborn babies in a single year (this number is from their own report).

The questions remain: Who is going to fight for the ones who can’t fight for themselves (the unborn)? and Why should my tax dollars pay for “your” abortion (or morning after pill)? The reality is that we have murdered over 50 million children in the US alone. So my questions remain.

Well, you will never have to pay for “my” abortion because I have never had one and to be quite honest, I worked in a pharmacy and refused to administer the morning after pill because it was against my own beliefs. All that being said, I still think that it is every woman’s choice to decide for herself. I understand your concern for the unborn, but what about the women who are already born? DO we not deserve to decide for ourselves if we proceed with a pregnancy. It’s not just about young girls who get pregnant accidentally and decide to abort, there are girls who are molested, women who are raped, women who simply don;t have the means to take care of and provide a life for their children. Do you know how many starving children and homeless adults there are in the world? It’s easy for you to pass judgment if you are not in these women’s shoes, but it is not your right to make the decision of what other women do with their own life. You can feel morally obligated to be against abortion all you want. YOu can choose not to have an abortion. But you can not force other women to believe and behave int he way you want them to simply because you say it is so. You have your right to believe and fight for your beliefs and so does everyone else.

Deborah, thanks for your comment. I understand this is a volatile subject. First, I never said anything to “judge” those who choose that option, nor anything to “force” others. I have friends and relatives who have had abortions and live with that choice for the rest of their life. Even a relative who had had abortions ask someone close to me, “How could you give your baby away?” when he was placed for adoption. That shows the dichotomy in thinking. If I want “cosmetic” surgery, I must pay that bill myself. If a lady wants an abortion, I should not have to pay for it. Remember, the number of pregnancies that result from rape or molestation is minuscule at best. I can not/have no right to force my beliefs on someone else, but then neither do they on me.

The following are 19 facts about abortion in America that should make you very sick….

#1 There have been more than 53 million abortions performed in the United States since Roe v. Wade was decided back in 1973.

#2 When you total up all forms of abortion, including those caused by the abortion drug RU 486, the grand total comes to more than a million abortions performed in the United States every single year.

#3 The number of American babies killed by abortion each year is roughly equal to the number of U.S. military deaths that have occurred in all of the wars that the United States has ever been involved in combined.

#4 Approximately 3,000 Americans lost their lives as a result of the destruction of the World Trade Center towers on 9/11. Every single day, more than 3,000 American babies are killed by abortion.

#5 It has been reported that a staggering 41 percent of all New York City pregnancies end in abortion.

#6 According to Pastor Clenard Childress, approximately 52 percent of all African-American pregnancies now end in abortion.

#7 One very shocking study found that 86 percent of all abortions are done for the sake of convenience.

#8 According to the Guttmacher Institute, the average cost of a first trimester abortion at the ten week mark is $451.

#9 The average cost of a vaginal birth with no complications in the United States is now over $9,000.

#10 A Department of Homeland Security report that was released in January 2012 says that if you are “anti-abortion”, you are a potential terrorist. Unfortunately, there have also been other government reports that have also identified “anti-abortion” protesters as potential threats.

#11 A while back one Philadelphia abortionist was charged with killing seven babies that were born alive, but witnesses claim that he actually slaughtered hundreds “of living, breathing newborn children by severing their spinal cords or slitting their necks.”

#12 Some abortion clinics have been caught selling aborted baby parts to medical researchers.

#13 Planned Parenthood Founder Margaret Sanger once said the following….

“The most merciful thing that a family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.”

#14 In a 1922 book entitled “Woman, Morality, and Birth Control”, Planned Parenthood Founder Margaret Sanger wrote the following….

“Birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race.”

#15 Planned Parenthood performs more than 300,000 abortions every single year.

#16 Planned Parenthood specifically targets the poor. A staggering 72 percent of Planned Parenthood’s “customers” have incomes that are either equal to or beneath 150 percent of the federal poverty level.

#17 There are 30 Planned Parenthood executives that make more than $200,000 a year. A few of them make more than $300,000 a year.

#18 Planned Parenthood received more than 487 million dollars from the federal government during 2010.

#19 The following is one description of the five steps of a partial birth abortion….

1) Guided by ultrasound, the abortionist grabs the baby’s legs with forceps.

2) The baby’s leg is pulled out into the birth canal.

3) The abortionist delivers the baby’s entire body, except for the head.

4) The abortionist jams scissors into the baby’s skull. The scissors are then opened to enlarge the skull.

5) The scissors are removed and a suction catheter is inserted. The child’s brains are sucked out, causing the skull to collapse. The dead baby is then removed.

How can we murder our own children?
And if you think that the issue of abortion does not matter, then you are dead wrong.

The mass murder of more than 50 million American babies is something that cannot be ignored.
The blood of each murdered baby is on the hands of us all……Those of us who have had abortions along with those of us who stood by and let it happen. What will we say when Christ returns??? What will we say??? What will You say?

Okay. Wow. Seriously Vicki?
#1 There have also been abortions throughout historic times. Do you know who’s MOST likely to get abortions? Women who ALREADY HAVE HAD a child (a la Jane Roe).
#2 Didja know the most common sort of abortion is a miscarriage or one necessitated by ectopic pregnancies? If we’re including those, yep, pretty accurate but that would make ‘God’ the biggest abortion provider
#3 Fetuses, not babies. I’m not going to argue over the sheer ridiculousness of your ‘statistics’.
#4 Fetuses, not babies. Furthermore what the heck is the point of bringing up September 11th? Let me just go tie this one in with #5 as a New Yorker – how dare you. And no, 41% of NY pregnancies do NOT end in abortion.
#6 Blatant racism, congratulations.
#7 If by ‘convenience’ you mean ‘economic, social, medical, and/or religious issues that put the physical and/ore psychological welfare of the mother at risk’ then sure, that might be almost accurate.
#8 $300-1,000, depending on location. So accurate statistic, good for you
#9 that’s actually a pretty low estimate, mine cost about $16k including medication, but insurance covered the majority of it and if you’re uninsured, you generally do not need to pay more than a couple thousand, max
#10 That’s probably because a bunch of anti-abortion people have killed abortion providing doctors. If you’re all gung ho about considering fetuses as people, you must even more vehemently condemn the murder – yes, murder – of Doctors even if they perform medical procedures you don’t approve of. I think getting breast implants (in most cases) is a superficial and ideal reiterating practice that contributes to low self-esteem. I don’t murder plastic surgeons. Potential risk? Yes. Terrorists? No, that’s excessive.
#11 Link, please? And again – what does this prove (if true)? That some random creep of a guy who HAPPENS to perform abortions HAPPENED to be a psychopath.
#12 Stem cell research. It could save your fricking life.
#13 Out of context. From Jezebel.com, “When you look at the surrounding chapter, you see that Sanger is talking about infant mortality in poor large families. At the time of her writing, more than 300,000 infants died, more than 90 percent from malnutrition.”
#14 Holy crap, the woman died in ’66. Even if these two (out of context) statements WERE true, let’s put it in context. This coming from the lady who says that blacks and the poor are the one ‘murdering babies’
#15 under a quarter of the total, but PP is primarily a health care provider, giving women pap smears, breast exams, and prenatal counseling. I went there when I was pregnant and was informed of ALL my options, not just abortion.
#16 This is because,as mentioned above PP is a HEALTH PROVIDER and it charges on a sliding scale due to government money.
#17 some from NRLC make over $100k, ditto from CareNet, ditto for most of these organizations that do NOT provide any health or medical services
#18 Goodness, it couldn’t be because it’s a *health provider* or anything, could it?
#19 Thanks for the image. Really contributes nothing to your argument but it’s a great dose of pathos to end on.

While I am not in favor of abortions (and I find Ms. McCorvey to be an exceptionally ridiculous woman in her later years), I do believe in accuracy and giving women the right to choose. Fear mongering and inaccuracies lead to idiocy. 50 million “babies” didn’t die, 50 million fetuses did. Before Roe v. Wade, abortions were still performed, difference being there were stricter provisions (i.e. rape, risk to mother’s life) for obtaining a *legal* one. They still happened. After Roe v. Wade (which isn’t even the standing court case), these abortions were made safer. Please, please, before you talk about things that are CLEARY factually unsound… check your facts!

Since people who support abortion conveniently like to use the less harch term “pro-choice” instead of “pro dead babies”, maybe we should begin substituting the word choice for death in other instances….

“A life or choice situation…”
“3 guarantees in this world: life, choice and taxes”
“I oppose the choice penalty”
A band called “Choice Cab for Cutie”
A “sudden choice” overtime in ice hockey.
“The Walking Choice” zombie tv show
